This course is a balanced blend of traditional mathematics
and statistics and modern computer applications. The updated
syllabus of computer applications, ranging from basic

enhances the employability of the students. A well –
structured curriculum, supported by a rich set of lab cycles
providing hands–on experience and strengthening the

The objective of the programme is to enable
the students understand the concepts of Accounting, Corporate
Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting and
application of statistical tools to business problems
supported by theoretical knowledge in business law, banking,
business economics, company law, auditing etc. Besides each
student is given an option to choose eight courses (papers)
spread over six semesters out of a basket of sixteen courses
in Taxation stream and Management stream with prerequisites
and corequisites. The students who would like to go to
professional courses like C.A., ICWA etc. can opt for courses
in Taxation stream covering Income Tax, Wealth tax, Excise,
customs, Service Tax, AP VAT Act etc. Students who would like
to join family business or take up sales job or pursuing MBA
programme can choose courses in Management stream covering
marketing management, sales management, services marketing,
advertising management etc. The programme is a judicious blend
of Commerce and Management courses. |

The Government has been bringing more and more people into
taxnet. Particularly manufacturers and traders are required to
pay a variety of taxes. They have to employ personnel
possessing knowledge in tax laws or they have to seek advice
from tax practitioners and consultants. The objective of this
course is to acquaint the students with the law, procedures
and practice of direct and indirect taxes. The curriculum of
the course includes among other subjects, Accounting, Cost
Accounting, Management Accounting, A.P. VAT, Central Sales
Tax, Income Tax, Wealth Tax, Central Excise, Customs,
Companies Act, Mercantile Law, Business Data Processing and

Bachelor of Business Management is an undergraduate programme
aimed at imparting the theoretical background of those
academic disciplines relating to the field of management and
helping the participants to develop their interpersonal skills
and personality to become junior level managers and
entrepreneurs. The course curriculum includes, among other
subjects, Principles of Management, Behavioural Science,
Business finance, Marketing Management, Services Marketing,
Human Resource Management, Sales Management, Advertising
Management and internship. The traditional lecture method
continues to be the means of instruction. However additional
inputs like guest lectures, participation in Seminars,
management meets, short visits to industrial units and
industrial tours will be arranged. |
